How to Maintain a Corian Countertop?
Corian Acrylic Surface Cleaning and Care
Daily Care: Corian® is very easy to clean. To maintain its fresh and hygienic appearance, simply wipe up spills and stains with a damp cloth using soapy water, ammonia-based cleaners, or cream detergents, then dry with a soft cloth. Corian maintenance is that simple.
Routine Care: To preserve Corian®’s silky appearance, it is recommended to apply cream detergents over the entire surface in circular motions once or twice a month, then wipe with a damp cloth and polish with a dry, soft cloth. You can contact us for further guidance on Corian care.
For specialized cleaning steps for acrylic-based surfaces, refer to our Acrylic Countertop Cleaning Guide.
Stains
Liquids and staining agents cannot penetrate Corian® but remain on the surface. To remove cigarette stains, pollen, cosmetic stains, and similar marks, use an ammonia-based cleaner or cream detergent, letting it sit for 5 minutes before wiping.
Scratches
Although durable, Corian® is not designed as a cutting surface. Minor scratches can be removed using scouring pads with powdered detergents. The final shine should always be restored using the Routine Care method. Corian maintenance is practical and simple.
Heat
Protect Corian® countertops from direct heat from appliances like hot pans, fryers, and irons by using trivets or heat pads.
Chemicals
Cleaning most strong household chemicals and specialized biochemical products with soapy water and wiping them off prevents adverse effects. Prolonged contact with paint removers, acid-based drain cleaners, acetone-based nail polish removers, concentrated acids, ketones, or chlorinated solvents may cause slight discoloration or surface damage.
Warranty
DuPont provides a two-stage warranty for Corian®: product and installation. The product warranty covers all Corian® products for 10 years against manufacturing defects from the date of sale. All Corian® installations by Quality Network members also have a 10-year limited installation warranty.
QUALITY NETWORK
DuPont has established a network of manufacturers called Quality Network to transform Corian® products into designer creations. These independent entities prioritize customer satisfaction and deliver the best solutions with Corian®.
